I love the challenge of solving complex problems, empowering patients with tools and understanding and then seeing the lasting difference this makes in their lives

Since establishing Weybridge and Walton Physio in 2005, it has been Michael’s goal to build the best Physiotherapy practice in Surrey. The past 16 years have seen the practice build an ever-growing reputation for excellent service and results, especially in dealing with complicated presentations.

Having trained in South Africa, he has been practising in the UK since 2000. His experience and training has lead to him developing specialist expertise in treating upper quadrant (head / neck / shoulder) conditions and is a Dean Watson Headache accredited practitioner. He has also completed the Thoracic Ring Approach™ & Integrated Systems Model for Disability & Pain series.

He really enjoys the challenge of treating complex and well-established problems which have not responded to previous treatment. He is passionate about helping people to use their necks and shoulders optimally, allowing for better quality of life both now and in the future.

His drive get better outcomes for his patients lead to the development of the OptiNeck Balance Wedge® (patent pending). This is a unique exercise device that other Physios and health professionals have described as a "game-changer" in the treatment and self-management of upper quadrant conditions. Michael is a regularly asked to speak at GP, corporate and other training and teaching events.

He is a former swimmer, a (not-so) keen runner with 5 half marathon medals in a box somewhere in the loft.

Patient Testimonials

To be perfectly honest the first time I visited Weybridge Physio I didn’t hold out much hope. Over the previous decade my severe shoulder/back pain had been treated by a number of physiotherapists and chiropractors without success.

Michael & his team immediately made me feel as though something could be done, they were right!

After so many years of pain I can now go through life relatively pain free, I can’t express what a miracle this feels for me. I honestly didn’t think it would ever be possible.

Kirsten E

"Every physio I have seen over the years has been excellent - professional, effective, good communicators, sympathetic and very personable!"

Alison M

"I have just completed a course of treatment with Emma and I write to thank Emma and the practice for once again determined, confident and thinking therapy.

As I say this is the latest treatment I have had from Weybridge Physiotherapy, Naomi sorted my knee, Michael my elbow and my neck.

I hasten to add that that has been over a number of years but each time it looked to me that I was going to have some measure of a permanent problem and every time I come back feeling stronger in the problem area than I had been.

You don’t give in easily do you.

My thanks and regards"
